The availability of high-speed broadband will therefore remain an essential location factor for many industries and private households in the future. As consultants and planners, we support our customers on their way to nationwide fiber optic expansion. We develop customized project structures for our clients, placing great emphasis on cost-effectiveness and feasibility – from initial consulting to successful implementation.
Our clients in the field of broadband consulting and broadband expansion include telecommunications companies, private sector companies such as energy providers, as well as public clients such as municipalities and local authorities. Thanks to our many years of experience – even with complex projects and turnkey solutions – we are the right partner in every phase of consulting, planning, and implementation support (construction supervision and acceptance) when it comes to safe, fast, and high-quality broadband expansion.
For our customers, we also take care of transmission technology and routing in the telecommunications sector. Our services in this area include the dimensioning and planning of transmission technology (SDH/WDM/IP), connection planning for new sites as well as the expansion of existing sites (GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G), connection planning for enterprise customers (via SDH/WDM/IP), optimization of existing networks (routing, topology, and locations), planning of the synchronization and O&M/DCN network, as well as the conceptualization, planning, and implementation of migrations for network modernization.
Over 185 million mobile connections are available to users in Germany. In 2023, 9.1 billion GB of data were transmitted via mobile network sites. The number of SIM cards in the same period reached 185 million, with a significant share used for machine-to-machine communication (M2M). These figures clearly illustrate the importance of mobile communications. New applications and emerging standards such as 5G will further enhance the significance of mobile networks in the future. STF Group is involved in construction and engineering projects related to mobile communications throughout Germany.
Our services include measurement-based analyses (walk tests, drive tests, in-train measurements), the evaluation of the analyses along with the creation of recommendations for action, radio network planning (GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G), as well as the optimization of mobile networks by our specially trained radio network optimization experts and the auditing of mobile network sites. Communication between emergency forces plays a crucial role in ensuring that police and fire departments can successfully carry out their operations. In buildings and areas such as stadiums, train stations, airports, or shopping centers, emergency personnel rely on sufficient radio signal strength to communicate effectively. If the signal strength is insufficient, a BOS indoor radio system is required. STF Group is the expert in planning, installation, and commissioning of BOS indoor radio systems, as well as in measuring and analyzing BOS radio signal levels.
Wi-Fi is essential for many services, information retrieval, communication, and media consumption. Accordingly, users place great importance on a strong Wi-Fi signal. While setting up a Wi-Fi connection in private households is usually straightforward, the situation is quite different outside of residential areas. Equipping a school, university, depot, hotel, or office complex with high-performance and always-available Wi-Fi, while ensuring sufficient bandwidth even during peak times, is a job for professionals.
Auch heute noch wird in speziellen Anwendungsszenarien Richtfunk durch Telekommunikationsanbieter eingesetzt. Dies betrifft insbesondere die Anbindung von Mobilfunkstandorten in Gebieten, in denen aufgrund der Topografie der Glasfaserausbau unwirtschaftlich ist. Richtfunk kommt zudem zur Anwendung bei der Anbindung von Event-Versorgungsmaßnahmen, beispielsweise bei temporären Veranstaltungen wie Konzerten und Festivals oder zur Anbindung von Vermittlungsstellen in Katastrophenfällen. Einige Unternehmen und Institutionen nutzen Richtfunk zudem als Back-Up-Lösung für den Fall, dass die Breitbandanbindung ausfällt.
